International Federation of Consulting Engineers - FIDIC

Courses
COURSE OVERVIEW:

This practical training explains and illustrates the use of the FIDIC Conditions of Contract for Construction (the "Construction Contract") and the FIDIC Conditions of Contract for Plant and Design-Build (the "Design-Build Contract"). It is provided by professional engineers with extensive international experience.

There will be claims in all FIDIC contracts. This training session is intended to provide practical support to people working with the FIDIC Contract Conditions in claim management and resolution. It applies to all parties participating in a FIDIC Contract, including the Employer, Contractor, Engineer, and DAB Members. The resolution of claims will be more successful if the parties have a professional awareness of their responsibilities and rights under a FIDIC contract, as well as the procedures for managing claims. It is delivered by professional engineers with vast experience with FIDIC claims, disputes, adjudications, and arbitration procedures.

This program provides the necessary expertise for professionals from Government Ministries and Agencies, Private Sector Employers, Consulting Engineers, Contractors, Quantity Surveyors, Architects, Legal Advisers, and everyone else participating in the next generation of International Projects. It is especially crucial for individuals involved in planning or managing infrastructure projects funded by ISPA, because all contracts funded by the EU will be subject to the FIDIC Conditions of Contract.
